About
Pixel Eater
My name is Anthony Garritano. I'm a designer and frontend developer. I focus on visual design, user interface, and user experience. I believe the internet should be an enjoyable place, so I work my hardest to make things that enrich the lives of those that use them. I'm honest, hard working, and full of southern charm. I'd love to chat with you about your project.
How It Happened
An east coast kid, I was born in New Jersey and raised in North Carolina. I started my foray into design and media when I was sixteen. Being a self starter I was hired on as a video production artist a week after graduating high school. After a wonderful two years in the world that is video I immersed myself into the land of design. I took a natural liking to the web and began the journey of creating beautiful interfaces and enjoyable experiences. After learning and working in New York City, I took the plunge and became an independent freelance designer. Today I work with clients across many industries and sectors.
Life Outside of Work
I grew up in the coastal plains of North Carolina and currently live in the capital city, Raleigh. The son of a gardener, I have a deep seated love for all growing things (especially the ones I can eat!). I'm a fan of American history and British television. I love Indonesian coffee blends, specifically from Sumatra. During my stay in New York City I lived in Brooklyn; I'll be back one day soon. A once avid rock climber, I now enjoy eating puffed rice while watching videos of my friends do some insane routes. I'm a Jesus lover through and through. I live every day by His grace.
