BarCampNYC

Known as 'the unconference', BarCamp is an event run by the attendees. Larger conferences tend to be special-invite-only and mostly populated by widely known names in the industry. BarCamp takes a different approach: the attendees are the speakers and it's open to anyone with a desire to learn. Typically centered around topics relating to programming and software development, anything goes as long as it receives enough votes from other attendees.

I worked with the lead organizers to build a simple one page site that explained what BarCamp is, why you would want to attend, and how to register. Sponsored by some of the most highly regarded names in the industry such as Microsoft and Meetup.com, BarCampNYC enjoyed a fantastic turnout with nearly all conference passes selling out in 24 hours.
